There was a moment, in early 2013, when an obsession emerged. My husband may tell you that was when he ‘lost his wife to nails’.

In September of 2013 I decided to start the Serenity Nails blog. My aim with this was to document for myself the amazing polishes I came across, and then, I became excited to show them to others, in the hope of bringing a fresh, new look to the polishes.

For three years ‘Serenity Nails’ was a mecca of Australian Indie Polishes. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to show the best of the best!

As with life itself, now we’ve moved on, ‘Serenity Nails’ has evolved!

‘Cured by Chris’ showcases my passions. Here you’ll find me focusing on Bio Sculpture, gel polish, hand and nail care, the occasional skin and body products that I’ve found to be outstanding (or not), and my nail art. You’ll still find nail polish, that’s for sure, because we can’t deny ourselves some fun right?!!

I’m Christine, Chris for short. I operate my own business, Cured by Chris, in Brisbane where I specialise in Bio Sculpture Gel nails. I am obsessed with cuticle treatments. I am obsessed with clean and tidy looking nails.

I am wife to one super amazing man. I am mum to two busy little boys, aged eight and three, and one little lady, Olivia, aged five. I am mum to one furbaby called Shadow, a princess parrot called Frankie, and a guinea pig named Ickles. I love the magic of nature. I play World of Warcraft in my downtime. I read pretty much anything and everything. I am obsessed with the kind of rock music the don’t make anymore. I am a laid back, would rather be barefoot, seeker of solitude and peaceful moments. I hope to occasionally share some of these tidbits with you too!

Painting my nails is just one of my peaceful moments. Writing about nails is another.

Was it serendipity the day I found my passions? I think so. And, I hope you’ll enjoy your time here as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.
