Good Evening!
It’s Monday!! That means Swatch Day!! Brace yourselves!
Today I want to show you a lovely Australian indie polish made by Love Thy Polish. The name is East Australian Current, and boy is it special. This is quite a picture loaded post so I won’t babble too much. I really want the pictures to do the talking for me here.
Most of us have heard of the East Australian Current one way or the other. Factually, the East Australian Current (EAC) is a powerful current that flows from north to south along the east coast of Australia. It acts as a ‘highway’ for many sea creatures (for example, the Sea Turtle), who can be found ‘hitching’ rides to their destination.
HOLD ON DUDE! The other place you may have heard about the East Australian Current is the animated adventure, Finding Nemo!
Well, this polish encapsulates all that you can imagine this current would look like. It is cool, deep, and oh so sparkly and pretty dude!
My swatches are three thin coats, with one coat of topcoat. My free edge was visible with two coats and I don’t like that so that’s why I did an extra coat. The formula was a breeze, it glided on smoothly, the brush made application perfect, and my pictures show how easy this was to apply.
I have not seen a polish quite like this one before. With a rich blue jelly base, added micro sparkles of different blue shades, it really is a perfect seaside blue. It literally ‘came alive’ on my nails. In different lighting environments, it represents everything an ocean current to be. Sometimes close to the surface and a little warmer, sometimes deep and colder, always with little speckles of sunlight peaking through. You can almost see it moving on my nails.
This polish should be in your collection, and lucky you…. it seems to be on sale, and stock seems to be disappearing fast. I’m not sure if this will be made again, so you should definitely check it out.
It is available on the Love Thy Polish website at http://www.lovethypolish.com, or alternatively you can see it at Femme Fatale Cosmetics along with an amazing array of unique artisan polish’s. I highly recommend getting a cup of tea and settling in to read the menu at http://www.femmefatalecosmetics.com.au
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this post. Drop by on Wednesday for a nail therapy post.
Until then, xx
