Hi
Before I begin, I need to say, I thoroughly dislike saying just ‘hi’ when I begin a post, going to look into that. Thinking out loud helps remind me!
Now, onto the meat of this post. Tonight I’m showing you another polish from Glittering Elements. You won’t get sick of seeing this brand, simply because they’re all so good. Tonight’s polish is called Minted. It’s a stand alone polish in the range of Glittering Elements and is particularly unique to the more latest polishes as it’s more than a holo.
Minted is a soft spearmint coloured polish with a dash of pretty rainbow holo sparkle. Making it stand out is the addition of various golden and silver glitters. I love the whole idea of these shimmery cremes with contrasting glitters.
The base has more of a crelly appearance than a straight creme. Therefore, with this one, I’d suggest layering it over a base colour unless you don’t mind visible nail line peaking through. In reality it’s not massively noticeable, as it may appear in my photos. The reason is my photos, apart from the macro, were taken in direct sunlight to show off the holo shimmer.
For my swatches I did two regular coats, and no topcoat. Now I think about it, I’m not really sure why I didn’t topcoat. I was perhaps having a brain fluff. I think adding topcoat would add a lot more depth to the base. Well it’s now going on the reswatch pile.
Anyway enjoy my photos. It’s a beautiful polish, not overly minty, just nice, and it really reminds me off the colouring a Japanese Celadon China that has the pale green glazing on it with little embellishments here and there.
Glittering Elements is re-opening soon, but for now stay up to date with the Glittering Elements Facebook page.
