Hi guys
To infinity… And beyond! Anyone familiar with Buzz Lightyear? It’s what come to my mind whenever I say the name of this polish. And certainly, to infinity and beyond, is exactly where this polish takes you.
To Infinity is one of Glittering Elements newest releases, and until you actually view it in person, no description can really capture exactly what is going on here.
Here is a quote from Casey which I think is so descriptive of where she was going with this one.
“When I think of infinity I think of this awesome place light years away, deep in a galaxy where unicorns fly free and stars shoot rainbow laser beams across the entire universe! I think I captured it!”
I think she did too!
To Infinity is a black jelly based polish with a warm glow-like pinky purple highlight in which you can see itty bitty pink, blue and golden glitters. It looked lovely just like that, I thought that was it and I was happy with it. But then, I held the bottle to a light source because I know now how tricky Casey can be, and there it was, a beautiful linear holo rainbow, equally strong in appearance to the glitters. Neither one outshines the other, they marry together perfectly.
For the following swatches, I applied a black base, and added two thin coats of To Infinity. Do I need to go into formula, it was, as all Glittering Elements, superb.
I had a hard time capturing both elements in the polish separately, my camera seemed to only want to deal with them both combined, because they are so complimentary to each other they were meshing for the photos. In the following photos he holo appears scattered. In reality the holo is linear and reflects in conjunction with the glitters.
The nature of the jelly base gives infinite depth. The glitters both still and shooting stars, glinting in the light, hiding a secret hidden galaxy. Whilst the rainbow holo is like the space dust, reflective and colourful, containing remnant of a world far far away. And yes, I’m pretty darn certain I saw a unicorn somewhere in that bottle too.
Stunning! Stunning! I have not seen ANY polish like this on the Australian market anywhere. If you have, please let me know. So far, for 2014, if there is just one polish I would recommend for you to try, it would be this one. You just have to see it to believe it.
To Infinity is available both locally, and internationally at Glittering Elements now.
Thanks for reading.
